Each course has a limit to the number of students. Courses will be filled in the order the request is received. Confirmation will be given by email invite for each course individually. Training Fee of $50/day includes lunch, curriculum, and a GSI hat. Registration must be received 2 business days prior to start date, cancellation must be received 2 business days prior to start date. No call/no shows will be automatically billed for the course.

 


Farm Service Training

Modular Tower Start-Up
Features and benefits,  gas trains, wiring, demo of unload and pre-start up checklist procedure.

Fans/Heaters
Training in flame sensing methods and use of display burners to actually read flame sensing. Bring your meter to see if it’s capable of reading the microamps created from flame sensing.

T&F Dryers
How to service and maintain the tower dryer and its components.

Air Systems
Application and installation, discussion of both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Stirator
Installation, service and troubleshooting of all models and ages of stirators. Changes made last year, upcoming changes this year and an in depth discussion of tilt switch.

Vision Control/Hybrid Troubleshooting
Basic operation and troubleshooting on software, error codes, safety systems, scr drive system, i/o burner control board, moisture control systems and sensors.

Basic Hands on Vision Control
Students will need basic understanding of gas, electricity, windows based computer systems and have prior dryer technical experience. WatchDog installation, basic networking, configuration of cellular and DSL type networks.

Farm Storage
Review of changes to the lines for 2014. Discussion of construction techniques and equipment installation.

TopDry
Discussion of the construction techniques, common service issues and retrofit packages for the roof dryer lines.

Material Handling
Service, maintenance issues and installation do’s and don’ts for Bucket Elevators, En-masse Conveyors, Chain Loops, Pre-Season, In-Season, and Post-Season service issues. Maintenance of Gear Drives, correct tensioning of belts and chains and practices to lengthen the life of the product.


Commercial Service Training

Advanced Tower Dryer
Discussion of dryer features, startup and maintenance.

Commercial Storage
A class for dealers that are selling tanks 60’ and larger. The equipment and techniques required for building the larger tanks.

Commercial Material Handling
Service, maintenance issues and installation do’s and don’ts for Bucket Elevators, En-masse Conveyors, Chain Loops, Pre-Season, In-Season, and Post-Season service issues. Maintenance of Gear Drives, correct tensioning of belts and chains and practices to lengthen the life of the product.


AutoCAD

Basic - Level I
Learn the fundamentals of AutoCAD and how it applies to Material Handling equipment design, must have past education/training and usage of AutoCAD, laptop with AutoCAD software required.

Advanced - Level II
Must have approximately one year of knowledge and experience in using AutoCAD in related industry, laptop and AutoCAD software required, will include instruction on how to utilize the GSI AutoCAD blocks in assembling completed units of conveyors and bucket elevators. Industry nomenclature will be explained.  Instructor will cover common requirements needed for site layout to included good integration of material handling, bins and dryers.


Sales

Selling Conditioning
2014 looks to be a good Conditioning sales year.  Knowing what your Customers want as well as need is as important as choosing the right type and size of dryer.  This course covers what University and our own surveys say about what our Customers want, general information about our drying products, product key features and full coverage of the newly updated 2014 Tower, Portable and brand new TopDry Product Information Guides.

Selling Storage Against the Competition
Selling bins on price may get the deal once, but it won’t earn repeat business. Translate value into sales and show customers the GSI difference. This course includes sales tactics, a hard look at GSI’s unique features and tips for selling against the competition, other storage types and other bin manufacturers.

Selling Material Handling
Increase your revenue by increasing your sales knowledge of GSI material handling equipment. Translate value into sales and show customers the GSI difference.  This course includes sales tactics, a hard look at GSI’s unique features, and tips for selling against the competition.

Also included in the Material Handling class is GSI Structures Sales Training. Better understand the newest Product line that GSI has to offer with Towers, Catwalks, Superstructures and more. Understand the driving factors of the structures business and how it effects your projects. This session will cover both farm and commercial segments. Give your sales team the necessary tools they need to sell and design a full system solution that incorporates structures. Session is interactive and invites questions and open discussion.


Safety

OSHA 10 HR
Mandatory OSHA 10 hr construction. This program is intended to provide an entry level construction workers general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site.

Confined Space Training Tag-out / Lock-out
GSI’s written program required by OSHA that outlines the practices and procedures used to protect employees from the hazards of entry into confined spaces.

Hazards of Flowing Grain
New OSHA safety course that GSI is offering. General safety precautions associated with entering grain bins, silos, tanks and other grain storage structures and how to prevent engulfment.
