Receiving and Inventory Manager

The selected candidate will oversee receiving, purchased parts and service warehouse operations, as well as, plant-to-plant transfers and customer returns receipt processing. Monitor inventory levels for plant controlled inventory. Assist with inventory accuracy improvement program and lead and facilitate continuous improvement activities for these areas.

It is preferred the candidate has a Bachelors Degree but must have project management experience. It is necessary for the candidate to have five years of warehouse and inventory control management. The candidate should also have experience with Kaizen projects.

Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) will work cross-functionally to support the manufacturing methods of Assumption product lines with respect to the key indicators of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.  Monitor and analyze key process indicators to determine areas for improvement.  Facilitate the design, specification, and implementation of machinery and processes which will enhance manufacturability, efficiency, process control, and metrics tracking.  Other duties include working cross-functionally with Product Engineering and Quality Engineering on New Product Development efforts to ensure that new products or components meet IPPAP requirements, are able to be produced to engineering specifications, and that processes are safe, efficient, capable, and reliable.  The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate and oversee the training of all operations “trainers” so that knowledge and understanding of prescribed methods and procedures are disseminated throughout each Assumption work center.  Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assistance to operations and/or maintenance personnel as needed.

A Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field is required for this position.  The candidate must be adept at metrics based planning and at managing to clearly defined objectives, as well as, have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Visio, Pro/E (or other software).  The candidate should have a working knowledge of machine control interfaces (PLC/HMI).  A minimum of three years experience in management of technical tasks and projects in a manufacturing facility is a must.  Rollforming experience would be a plus.

Sr. Financial Analyst

The candidate will have to perform  the following job functions, month-end general ledger close, including journal entry preparation, general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation, balance sheet and income statement account analysis and research, analysis of operational results by product, reviewing transactions from subsystems, monitor cycle count programs and assist with physical inventory, familiarity with EBITDA and RONA, and prepare reporting packages for monthly operational reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting, including variance analysis.  The selected candidate will need to be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively, as well as have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels.  The selected candidate will need to be thorough with analytical and problem solving skills and have the ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions.  The ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment and learn new systems and processes, participate in enhancing processes and reporting capabilities from internal financial systems, report writing and database analysis, and special projects and adhoc analysis are also responsibilities the selected candidate will have.

The selected candidate will need a Bachelors in accounting or finance and a minimum of five years experience, with a minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing environment.  The candidate will need to have strong analytical skills, and will need experience with monitoring business metrics and providing decision support.  The candidate will need excellent skills in using Microsoft Excel and Access, knowledge of financial reporting software, SAP knowledge preferred, and organization skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.  The candidate should have previous experience in acquiring, interpreting and enhancing information through computer system/ reporting.  Experience in cost accounting is required.

Project Coordinator- Grain Sales
This position will “initially” support the South Dakota Wheat Growers project and the individual will be based in South Dakota for approximately a 6 month period.  Upon conclusion of this project, they will return to Assumption.  There may be other on-site projects in the  future, but if not, they will continue to be based with the Grain Sales group in Assumption.   On site dates will be from April 1 through November 30.

Qualifications: Provide on-site management and support and GSI’s involvement supporting the South Dakota Wheat Growers project. Serve as the project liaison and help manage GSI’s involvement on approximately 13 job sites in East Central South Dakota.  This person will work in the office located in Aberdeen, South Dakota.   They will travel to sites, manage shipping schedules, verify shipping records, coordinate storage requirements, and handle shortages or damages with hauler and factory.  Coordinate start-up and training schedules.

Requirements\ Prefer: Minimum HS Diploma or GED, advanced schooling preferred but not required.  Ability to work independently, well organized, ability to meet deadlines in a rapid change environment.  Outstanding customer service skills.  Excellent PC skills.  Must be mechanically included, able to read measuring tape, and use common hand tools, as needed during site visits.  Must possess valid  driver’s license.
