Notice! As with any computer upgrade, you run the risk of making your dryer inoperable if the programming procedure is interrupted during the upgrade. NEVER TURN OFF POWER DURING UPGRADE PROCESS!
If you are currently drying grain, we highly recommend you wait until you are finished drying grain before attempting to update your software. If you feel you need to upgrade, please download and view the programming manual.

Vision/Dritek+ programming manual.pdf updated 10-16-2008
The USB Flash drive enables you to update the software in your Vision/DriTek+ dryers easily. You can purchase these Flash drives at any Wal-Mart, Kmart, OfficeMax, Staples or any department store that sells computer electronic accessories.
When you insert your USB Flash drive into a USB port on your computer, you will have added another virtual disk drive. Please make note of the drive letter of the USB Flash Drive. (Double click on MY COMPUTER on your Desktop) You will need it later when you install the update software.
You can access files on your Flash drive using either Windows 2000/ME/XP or Macintosh with OS 8.6 or higher. If you are using Windows 98SE, you will have to install a driver from the manufacturer of the flash drive you own.
Click on the link below to start the download process to your computer. You can SAVE or RUN the program. It doesn't matter which one you choose. When saving make sure you make note of where you put it.
When this file is executed, it will copy the files to the necessary folder on your USB Flash drive. During the install, you will be prompted to provide the drive letter of your USB Flash drive. ( i.e. D:) Or you can click on the Change button to located the drive on your system.
Once the USB Flash drive has the necessary files on it, you can insert it into the USB port located on the bottom of the Vision/DriTek+ assembly. Open the lower control box, and look at the back of the door. You will notice a aluminum box with a circuit board on the back. Look underneath the box for the USB port as shown in the programming manual.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!
Version P101 software is now using a user safety #1 input located on the main I/O board inside the upper control box of your dryer.

If you are upgrading your dryer from prior software revisions then you will need to place a jumper wire between J2-02 and J2-03 (User Safety #1 input) to provide 12VDC to this input. The add jumpers between J2-02, J2-05, J2-06 (all the open user safety inputs). Failure to do so will cause your dryer to become inoperable until this procedure is done.
These inputs can be used to stop dryer operation by connecting auxiliary equipment between 12VDC and the safety input with a N/C closed connection that will open in the event of a shutdown or equipment failure.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ! If you experience any issues with motors not starting you may need to reset the computer to factory defaults. If you need to reset your controls you can download this file that outlines this procedure or click on the link below to download and view.

The changes made in version 1.03 are listed below:
Add "Start Dryer in Low Fire" option. Turning the "M/C" dipswitch on the Display IO board will enable this option. Increase minimum "Load On Delay" from 0 seconds to 30 seconds in hopes of extending motor longevity. Correct BPH Calculations for Modular's and T&F Series After certain shutdowns, allow fans to continue to run and give the uesr the option to "Stop" or "Restart" the dryer. This gives the user the opportunity to address the warning without having to restart the fans. For list of warnings refer to Vision_Version_103_Changes.docx Change "User Safety #1" on the Main IO board to "Meter Motor O/L" and activate the remaining 3 User Safeties inputs (USER SAFETIES #2, 3, and 4). Allow Vision to run on three blower tower dryers. When the "Unload Parameters -11" screen initializes for towers, the max and min BPH display the incorrect number When "default" is pressed on the "Meter Rolls Output Voltage Setup - 27" the "Minimum Speed" value is changed, but if accepted it does not retain the value. If the "default" button is pressed followed by an "up" or "down" it will retain the information. Remove "Burner Mode" button from setup screen when tower dryer is selected. It was previously grayed out, but this shouldn't even be displayed with towers. It's just confusing. Change terminology on meter roll setup for 2-speed temperature operation. Change from calling it one speed to On / Off. This makes it an option of 2-speed rather than a totally separate M/C setup. When the unload is off in the ON/OFF mode, the RPM still reads 5.5. I think this is just because of the simulator board, but should be checked in the field for portables Change J4-02 "Extra" on the Fan/Heater board to monitor continuously. As it stands now, this is used to prove a firing valve is closed before attempting to light the burner. It is being changed to monitor a low pressure gas switch for CSA purposes. For T&F dryers only. Add "2009 Copyright - The GSI Group, LLC" to the system information pane under the "View" button
