Vision/Dritek+ programming manual.pdf updated 10-16-2008
The USB Flash drive enables you to update the software in your Vision/DriTek+ dryers easily. You can purchase these Flash drives at any Wal-Mart, Kmart, OfficeMax, Staples or any department store that sells computer electronic accessories.
When you insert your USB Flash drive into a USB port on your computer, you will have added another virtual disk drive. Please make note of the drive letter of the USB Flash Drive. (Double click on MY COMPUTER on your Desktop) You will need it later when you install the update software.
You can access files on your Flash drive using either Windows 2000/ME/XP or Macintosh with OS 8.6 or higher. If you are using Windows 98SE, you will have to install a driver from the manufacturer of the flash drive you own.
Click on the link below to start the download process to your computer. You can SAVE or RUN the program. It doesn't matter which one you choose. If you save it, make sure you remember where you put it.
When this file is executed, it will copy the files to the necessary folder on your USB Flash drive. During the install, you will be prompted to provide the drive letter of your USB Flash drive. ( i.e. D:) Or you can click on the Change button to located the drive on your system.
Once the USB Flash drive has the necessary files on it, you can insert it into the USB port located on the bottom of the Vision/DriTek+ assembly. Open the lower control box, and look at the back of the door. You will notice a aluminum box with a circuit board on the back. Look underneath the box for the USB port as shown in the programming manual.
Please download the programming manual above to properly update the software on your dryer.
Current Vision/Dritek+ Software version 1.00 updated 06-08-2009
The changes made in version 1.00 are listed below:
Under setup make only these buttons available: DRYING MODE, M/C SETUP, UNLOAD PARAMS, PLENUM TEMP MANAGER, SENSOR CALIB, EXTENDED SETUP. Under Drying Mode Button will be 4 buttons: CONTINUOUS FLOW, STAGED BATCH, M/C SETUP and HELP. Pressing M/C SETUP will bring up drying type dependent information / setup. If Cont flow is selected only cont flow setup params will be shown. Same for staged batch. Put bin number and grain type selection under printer setup button, which is under Extended Setup Button. Added code to allow hi/low burner to relight up to three times if loss of flame / no flame detected. Display actual metering roll speed on chart, not the medium speed. Extended Fan delay to 25 seconds. Added batch hold feature. The dryer pauses in unload phase if unload switch is turned off, or J2-09 receives 12VDC. Add yellow triangle to shutdown screen. If Celsius is selected it is retained through power cycling. Made batch automatic m/c select full batch as default. Added MAX TIMER timer to only prohibit batch temp mode from over drying grain. Added MAX TEMPERATURE feature, which prohibits the batch time mode from over drying grain. Timer in display IO board which detects loss of communications to user interface was lengthened to 30 seconds to satisfy WatchDog. Changed labeling of F&T series dryer selection under Dryer Model Setup. Added help button and text for plenum temperature manager (single fan). Added help button and text for the moisture sensor calibration screen. Added help button and text to Drying Mode Selection Screen. Changed text on the accept button for the moisture sensor calibration from "Accept/Next" to "Accept". Added a unique identifying number to the title bar of each screen and dialog box. If batch self correcting algorithm is selected, the moisture control is engaged all the time. An indication of TEMP MODE, TIME MODE, TIME:TEMP MODE, or MOIST MODE is now displayed to the right of the dryer giving the current type of moisture control in batch. When batch mode is in time or temp the temperature of the grain is displayed at bottom of dryer. When in moist mode the moisture output is displayed at bottom of dryer. The option for not allowing the batch dryer to reload for grain shrinkage has been removed. Fans and Burners would shut off in drying mode if cool timer was set to zero. Changed code so continuous flow mode is automatically selected if F&T model is selected. In batch temp mode the moisture control button on main screen selects grain temp setpoints. In batch moist mode the moisture control button on main screen selects moisture setpoint. Max grain temperature button was added to continuous flow operation. 5 speed auto centering button and checkbox is grayed out when in temp mode. Reload all batch state variables and return batch sequence to start upon changing batch mode (Temp, Time, Moist). Burner now repurges in hi/lo mode every time burner attempts to relight due to flame loss. Wrong value was displayed under metering roll speed adjustment for 5 speed temp mode. Timer values were not retained upon cycling power if their reload values exceeded their default values. Load on delay, unload cleanout, out of grain, fan delay. Changed code so burners would not shutoff during drying phase of batch if cool timer was set to zero. Changed code so dryer defaulted to load anytime while in continuous flow. Fixed code so that metric tons and not total bushels are displayed when metric system is selected. Added code, buttons, and text for cool down timer. Added code to allow the WatchDog system to shutdown the dryer remotely. Added code to show the last load time under the out of grain timer button.
