This position is required to build the core team for the design of the Low Cost Commercial Bin. Advanced Structural Analysis will be required to meet the cost targets for the new tank. Candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the goal of designing a new line of commercial grain storage bins, and will be responsible for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on all proposed new designs to maintain required structural integrity while minimizing cost.
Education/Skill Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree (minimum) in Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field • Able to perform advanced analysis on Commercial Grain Bins using FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran, etc.) o Exact package TBD • Willing/able to develop FEA as a core competency at GSI • Part of a highly visible, fast paced, multi-disciplinary team • Candidate must be able to handle deadlines and pressure to meet team goals • Able to present at design reviews

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting functional quality improvement initiatives throughout the business. This position will write and review quality system documentation to support business process including, but not limited to, test specifications, quality plans and inspection procedures. Further responsibilities involve interaction with supplier development resolving supplier quality issues affecting product quality, conducting operational level QA tools, training for plant quality/manufacturing associates, documenting and analyzing field failure/complaints to form root cause and corrective action plans and interfacing with Engineering and Manufacturing on new part/process validation program to ensure initial run of products maintain acceptable level of quality.
Education/Skill Requirements:
BS in Engineering with 2 years of experience in Engineering/Quality supporting manufacturing operations. Applicable ASQ certifications beneficial but not required.
